How to find your RV’s VIN
While each RV maker has a unique design, they all house their 17-digit VIN in specific locations.
- For Class A, B, and C motorhomes, check the driver’s side door jamb, for the VIN like you would on any car or truck.
- If it’s not there, move to the driver’s side dashboard and look through the windshield for a metal plate or sticker bearing the VIN.
- If the RV’s VIN still can’t be found, lift the hood and inspect the engine firewall or radiator support bracket to find the 17-digit VIN.

- Winnebago: Driver’s side interior dash or front steel frame.
- Airstream: Right side of the A-frame or the trailer’s front end. T
- Thor Motor Coach: Driver’s side window or door frame.
- Forest River: Front lower section of the frame.
- Jayco: Left of the A-frame or the door side.
- Coachmen: Federal certification label or plate near the entrance.
